أشاد المدير الفني لفريق الاتحاد، البرتغالي كونسيساو بأداء فريقه خلال مواجهة الغرافة القطري، ضمن الجولة السابعة من منافسات دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2025–2026، التي أُقيمت أمس (الثلاثاء) على ملعب «الإنماء» بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة.
جاء ذلك خلال المؤتمر الصحفي عقب اللقاء الذي انتهى بفوز الاتحاد بسباعية نظيفة، مؤكداً أن الانتصار يُعدُّ مهماً في مشوار الفريق، وأن الأداء والنتيجة كانا مستحقين، مبيناً أن الفريق في الفترة الماضية كان يصل إلى مرمى الخصوم دون توفيق في الإنهاء، فيما نجح في هذه المواجهة في استثمار الفرص وترجمتها إلى أهداف، مؤكداً أن ما تم التحضير له قبل اللقاء طُبّق داخل الملعب بالشكل المطلوب.
وعبّر كونسيساو عن تقديره الكبير لدور جماهير الاتحاد، موضحاً أن الشعور الذي منحته الجماهير للاعبين كان مختلفاً كلياً عمّا سبق، ومتمنياً استمرار هذا الدعم في المواجهات القادمة.
بدوره، أكد لاعب الاتحاد حسام عوار الذي نال جائزة نجم اللقاء، أن النتيجة جاءت إيجابية ومستحقة، مشيراً إلى أن عقلية الفريق والطموح والرغبة ظهرت بشكل واضح، وبيّن أن التسجيل المبكر أسهم في تسهيل مجريات المباراة، مشيداً بالأجواء الرائعة التي صنعتها جماهير الاتحاد، واعتبرها بداية جديدة وطريقاً مختلفاً للفريق.
وأوضح عوار أن الفوز يُعد رسالة إيجابية للجماهير، مؤكداً أن الفريق يسعى إلى البناء على هذا الأداء، ومواصلة تحقيق النتائج الإيجابية في المرحلة القادمة.
من جانبه، أكد مدرب الغرافة القطري بيدرو مارتينيز أن مجريات المواجهة كانت واضحة منذ بدايتها، وعبّر عن اعتذاره لمنسوبي الرياضة القطرية ولجماهير فريقه، مشيراً إلى التفوق الواضح لفريق الاتحاد، مشيداً بقوة الاتحاد واستحقاقه الفوز، ومؤكداً عدم وجود ما يمكن إضافته بعد هذه النتيجة.
The head coach of the Al-Ittihad team, Portuguese coach Conceição, praised his team’s performance during the match against Al-Gharafa of Qatar, which took place in the seventh round of the 2025–2026 AFC Champions League, held yesterday (Tuesday) at the “Al-Inma” stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
This came during the press conference after the match, which ended with Al-Ittihad winning by a clean seven-goal score, confirming that the victory is important for the team’s journey, and that the performance and result were deserved. He pointed out that the team had been reaching the opponents’ goal in recent times without success in finishing, whereas in this match, they succeeded in capitalizing on opportunities and converting them into goals, emphasizing that what was prepared before the match was implemented on the field as required.
Conceição expressed his great appreciation for the role of Al-Ittihad fans, explaining that the feeling the fans gave to the players was completely different from before, and he hoped that this support would continue in the upcoming matches.
For his part, Al-Ittihad player Hossam Aouar, who won the Man of the Match award, stated that the result was positive and deserved, pointing out that the team’s mentality, ambition, and desire were clearly evident. He noted that the early scoring contributed to facilitating the course of the match, praising the wonderful atmosphere created by Al-Ittihad fans, considering it a new beginning and a different path for the team.
Aouar explained that the victory is a positive message to the fans, confirming that the team seeks to build on this performance and continue achieving positive results in the coming phase.
On his part, Al-Gharafa’s Qatari coach Pedro Martinez confirmed that the course of the match was clear from the beginning, and he expressed his apologies to the Qatari sports community and his team’s fans, pointing to the clear superiority of Al-Ittihad, praising their strength and deserving victory, and affirming that there is nothing more to add after this result.
