The CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei mentioned the upcoming Nothing Phone 4a phones in his announcement last week, calling them a complete evolution. While the specifics weren’t mentioned, another leak sheds more light on the launch date.

According to a tipster on X, Brar, the Nothing Phone 4a and 4a Pro will launch globally in early March. Links point in the direction of March 5. The leakster also made mention of an upgraded storage, which Nothing previously confirmed. The 4a models will use UFS 3.1 storage, up from UFS 2.2 on the 3a models. This will likely make the device slightly more expensive even though it’s not the latest UFS format.
Nothing Phone 4a gets certified
According to leaks, both models will use Snapdragon 7-series chipsets, though the exact chips haven’t been identified yet. Pei promised upgrades to the display and cameras too, not just overall performance. But there are no details on the specs yet.
The new models will both get a slight increase in battery capacity. While the Nothing Phone 4a Pro packs a 5,080mAh battery rated for 1,400 charge cycles, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro features a 5,000mAh battery also rated at 1,400 cycles. The charging rate will remain the same at 50W.
The new Pro is rated IP65, which is an upgrade from the IP64 of its predecessor. Nothing will not be launching a flagship this year, according to Pei.
