Who Is the Apple Watch Series 11 For?
The Apple Watch Series 11 (review) arrived on the scene in September 2025. As a refresh of the Watch Series 10, those currently using the previous generation likely do not need to upgrade. However, if this is your first Apple smartwatch or you are upgrading from an older model, the Watch Series 11 represents a meaningful step forward.
Following the design of its predecessor, it features a sleeker and thinner profile. It is constructed on an aluminum chassis to remain lightweight while still offering 50 meter water resistance and a depth gauge functional up to 6 meters.

Its 1.77 inch AMOLED display peaks at 2,000 nits, which is a remarkably high figure. Like the previous model, it utilizes a wide angle panel that offers better legibility than a standard flat display. The screen is protected by a new, tougher Ion-X strengthened glass that Apple claims is twice as scratch resistant.
The device is powered by the familiar Apple S10 system in chip, a dual core processor that remains one of the fastest smartwatch chipsets available. The Watch Series 11 feels snappy and responsive across all types of tasks. It also introduces new life saving tools such as hypertension notifications, which alert you if abnormal blood pressure signs are detected. There are also general enhancements to heart rate and sleep tracking accuracy.
For those who are active, a notable new feature is gesture control. This allows you to navigate the watch interface using hand gestures, which is particularly useful when your hands are occupied.
A specific upgrade for the Watch Series 11 is its improved battery life. Apple rates it for 24 hours of use, which easily lasts a day and a half with mixed usage. By enabling power saver mode, you can extend this endurance to three days.
