Parents are indeed a blessing of Allah. They help us grow, they give all of their things to help us get a better life and to do well in life.
Unfortunately, our mothers and fathers do everything they can to make us feel fulfilled but we still do not do enough for them to make them smile.
Dua To Recite For Parents (Mother and Father)
This beautiful supplication comes from Surah Ibrahim, verse 41. Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) made this dua after completing the construction of the Kaaba.
Arabic:
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Transliteration:
Rabbana ighfir li wa liwalidayya wa lil-mu’mineena yawma yaqoomul hisaab.
Meaning:
“Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the account is established.”
Your parents might be alive or may have passed away. This dua reaches them either way. It is a gift that keeps flowing. Every time you say it, the reward goes to them.

Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayani sagheera.
