Spotify recently announced that it’s making content discovery easier for listeners with the debut of Audiobook Charts, which will initially be available for users in the United States and United Kingdom. The new charts offer a weekly snapshot of the most popular and trending titles across the platform, similar to how podcasts and music are ranked.

According to Spotify, the rankings are calculated based on real-time listening behavior and user engagement, providing a data-driven look at what’s attracting audiences. Duncan Bruce, Spotify’s Director of Audiobook Partnerships and Licensing comments:

As we’ve proven with Music and Podcasts Charts, when content is easier to access, discover, and enjoy, the demand grows… We are delighted to now bring that to audiobooks, to help provide even more ways for users, publishers, and authors to discover what’s trending on Spotify, and make books more connected with culture in real time.

Listeners can find the rankings by navigating to the Audiobooks hub within the Spotify app, located under the Search tab. Both Free and Premium users can also explore the “Top Audiobooks” shelf to view overall leaders or dive into specific genre-based lists.
