Saudi Red Crescent Authority ambulance teams successfully revived an Indonesian pilgrim who suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque on Monday evening.

Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in Madinah, reported that the Medical Relocation Center received an emergency call at 7:15 PM regarding a critical situation in the mosque courtyards immediately following Maghrib prayer on 14 Ramadan 1447 AH (March 3, 2026).

Specialized ambulance teams were dispatched instantly and arrived at the location within 2 minutes and 56 seconds. Upon arrival, paramedics diagnosed the patient with cardiac and respiratory arrest and immediately began on-site treatment following approved medical protocols.

The emergency responders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using advanced medical equipment, successfully reviving the patient. An additional support team was also dispatched to ensure comprehensive care for the critical case.

After the patient’s condition stabilized, he was transferred to Al-Salam Hospital to complete the necessary medical care.
