Marathon Season 3 Release Date – Start Date, End Date,

Marathon ticks

Here’s everything we know on Marathon Season 3, its start and end dates, and the content which is set to arrive with it.

Following the successful launch of Bungie’s extraction shooter, we’ve begun to keep track of its patches and updates as well as the seasonal plans that have been shared by the developer. Season 1 is already underway, and S2 will kick off in early summer 2026.

Scroll down below to learn everything that’s been revealed so far about Marathon’s third season, which is mostly being kept under wraps for now.

Marathon Season 3 Release Date

While we don’t have specific release and end dates for Marathon Season 3, Bungie revealed it’ll also follow the planned three-month-ish schedule for each season and the window it’ll occupy this year.

  • Marathon Season 3 start date: August or early September 2026
  • Marathon Season 3 end date: November 2026

Season 2 (Night Marsh) is expected to be shorter according to the shared roadmap, but a small change in release/end dates could delay Season 3’s kickoff, so we’re just waiting for specifics at the time of writing.

Marathon Season 3 Content

We have nothing on the planned content for Marathon S3 right now, but new Runner shells, weapons, map conditions, augments, modes, and extra features are expected to arrive with each season. Of course, that’s only the beginning, and as always, live-service plans are subject to change, especially if the player feedback isn’t as glowing as expected.

Stay tuned for news on what’s planned beyond Marathon’s first two seasons; we’ll try to keep this page as updated as possible with the latest information. For now, check out the current seasonal roadmap:
