Samsung increased the pace of One UI 8.5 development for its other phones after the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. The South Korean company, Samsung, has opened the One UI 8.5 Beta Programme for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The beta update has also been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
India, South Korea, and the UK, have received the first One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. In South Korea, the update carries firmware version F766NKSU8ZZC5, while the firmware version for global markets is F766BXXU8ZZC5. The download size of the update is about 4,172.36MB. It features the February 2026 security patch instead of the March 2026 patch.
Those living in India, South Korea and the UK need to register their number into the One UI 8.5 programme before installing the One UI 8.5 beta update on the Galaxy Z Flip 7. This can be achieved by installing the Samsung Members app on your phone, logging into it using the same Samsung Account used to set up your phone. After that, find the One UI 8.5 Beta Programme announcement banner in the app and tap on it to enrol your phone into it.
As soon as the update is available, you can install it by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. After the update is fully downloaded on the device, tap the Install now button. Once the installation process starts, the phone will reboot after some minutes.
However, as it’s a beta update, it’s likely to have several bugs, problems, performance and reliability issues. Make sure that it isn’t being installed on a phone that you rely on for your day-to-day activities.
The One UI 8.5 Beta Programme is available for the phone in India, South Korea, and the UK. The company is expected to release a few beta updates in the next few weeks. After which, there will be the stable update.
