Strategy and sim specialists Paradox Interactive have a host of games in the 2026 Steam Spring sale, including some classics.
Alongside newer titles such as Cities: Skylines 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and Age of Wonders 4, a storied history of strategy and sim titles is currently available at deeply discounted prices.
Let’s pull up some of the low-price gems you can unearth from years gone by.
Paradox Interactive Classics Spring Sale Highlights
The classic Grand Strategy game Hearts of Iron 2 Complete is 75% off at the moment, meaning you can grab the game and both its expansions for only £3.19.
Turn-based sci-fi strategy series Sword of the Stars has a Complete Collection that includes the original games and the three expansions attached to them for only £2.12. That’s a staggering amount of spacefaring for less than a bus fare.
I mentioned Age of Wonders before, and the classic games are included in the sale, so if you’re curious how the Fantasy strategy RPG series began, you can buy the first game for only £1.24 or get everything from Age of Wonders 1-3, including expansions for £23.80. A large slice of RPG history for a pretty reasonable price.
Fantasy fans with a taste for some RTS history can delve into Majesty Gold HD Edition for some rich base-building strategy fun. It’s also part of a World of Ardania Bundle featuring games such as Warlock 2 and Impire for 73% off.
Historical Grand Strategy fans can pick up some history with the Victoria series, going very cheaply. The original 19th-century-set game is just £1.70 with all the trimmings. Its immediate sequel is also there for £4.18.
Finally, in the historical Grand Strategy space, genre classic Europa Universalis 3 and its expansions are bundled in a Complete Edition for £3.83 or with all the extra DLC for £19.10.
The Spring Sale ends on March 26, 2026, so you’d best scratch that classic strategy itch soon if you want to save some cash and get a huge slice of genre history.
