The Uthram Thirunal Mahotsavam 2026 at Sree Dharmasastha Temple, Bhuthakulam is one of the important annual temple festivals celebrated with great devotion in Kerala. The festival begins with Kodiyettu (flag hoisting) on March 23, 2026 and concludes with Arattu on April 1, 2026, during the auspicious Painkuni Uthram day. Devotees from different places visit the temple to seek blessings of Lord Dharmasastha (Shasta), who is worshipped here along with several other deities.
This temple is considered special because it has a rare Shaneeswara (Saturn) shrine with Navagrahas installed along with their consorts and vehicles, which is uncommon in Kerala temples. The temple also has shrines of Ganapathi, Shiva, Krishna, Bhadrakali, Nagaraja, Yakshi, Brahmarakshas, Madan Swamy, and other divine powers.
