In a space colony, destructive winds and gruesome monsters are our enemies.
Alien Deathstormis a fitting title for the new game from Rebellion. Because it has all three things: aliens, death and storm. The traditional British studio sends us on an exploration tour to a completely ruined settlement far away from Earth.
On the one hand, grotesque monsters lurk there, while on the other, a deadly storm rages and tears the colony apart (with impressive physics, by the way, as the firsttrailershows). Accordingly, death lurks everywhere.
So you see: death, storm, aliens. It’s all there. But now the trailer with the first gameplay:
Alien Deathstorm is planned as a pure single-player gamewithout any multiplayer or service gimmicksand is intended to combine first-person shooter with horror and survival elements. Clear influences from Doom 3 and Dead Space are recognizable.
What is it about?
The story revolves around a military pioneer who is sent as a first responder to a remote space colony after contact is lost.
He is actually only supposed to assess the situation and prepare for the arrival of a rescue fleet, but quickly finds himself in an apocalyptic setting and has to fight for survival.
The debut trailer shows both the fight against aliens with futuristic weapons andimpressive physics effects as the storm tears apart the environment.
It remains to be seen how dynamic the level destruction will ultimately be (and whether it will actually have a concrete impact on the gameplay).
Alien Deathstorm will be released in 2027 for PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. A precise date has not been given.
