With Windows 10 now effectively discontinued for users worldwide, there’s a good chance that a lot of folks are considering getting new devices, or just sticking with their Windows 10 computer, which to be fair is a more financially practical approach, especially in today’s economy.
That being said, there’s also the option of going for a different OS altogether, in which case you might want to check out what Google’s been working on. The company recently announced that it’s partnered with Back Market to develop the ChromeOS Flex USB Kit, a plug-and-play device which will allow users to install ChromeOS on their PC or Mac, and extend software support for several more years.
Google says that the kit comes with easy-to-follow tutorials which simplify the installation process, and it’s clear that the company is pitching sustainability as one of the key selling points for the device. Part of its announcement reads:
