A self-defence initiative organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti under the theme ‘Radayche nahi, ladhayche’

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra – With the rise in incidents of harassment against women and young girls, self-defence has become an essential life skill. To address this urgent need, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti organised a one-day ‘Yuvati Shaurya Jagruti Shibir’ (Young Women’s Valour Awareness Camp) in Naygaon village, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The camp was centred around the empowering theme ‘Radayche nahi, ladhayche!’ (Do not cry, fight back!).
Empowering through training

The camp saw enthusiastic participation from many young women across the region. Kum. Shruti Shirsath of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti opened the session by explaining the camp’s objective, highlighting the modern challenges girls face and offering practical solutions for personal safety. To provide hands-on experience, Shri. Ganesh Bagde conducted intensive training sessions in karate and
lathi-kathi.
Impact and feedback
The camp concluded with an interactive feedback session where participants shared how the training had transformed their outlook. Many expressed that while they previously felt a lack of courage when facing potential threats, the camp provided the mental and physical preparation needed to respond effectively. By the end of the day, the participants felt a renewed sense of confidence, proving that with the right training, they can face any situation with strength and resilience.
