Competing in the newly launched EVA Pro League
Today, G2 is proud to reveal G2 EVA, a brand new VR esports team and the organisation’s first official mixed-gender roster, set to compete in the Pro League of Esports Virtual Arenas (EVA). With this milestone, G2 continues to push the boundaries of what defines a modern esports organisation, expanding into immersive competition and championing inclusivity as it builds towards its goal of becoming the next generation sports club.
EVA is Europe’s leader in immersive entertainment and the world’s leading free-roaming virtual reality experience, where players, equipped with VR headsets and rifles, are pitted against each other in a 500m² arena. Players roam free in a simulated environment and must combine the athleticism of traditional sports with the calculated strategy of first-person shooters as they compete in objective-based battles.
G2 EVA’s ambition lies beyond just being the best. Originally formed in 2023 under EDS Esport, the team has consistently risen to the occasion, overcoming hardship and progressing through the French EVA Leagues. Now set to compete in the inaugural season of EVA Pro League, G2 EVA is out to prove that no matter the roster or opponent, the team is capable of winning and making fans proud.
G2 EVA will field the following all-French roster for its debut season:
-
Chloé “Dimzy” Guerin
-
Guillaume “Skyzer” Doloir
-
Killian “Ace” Potier
-
Killian “Midnight” Hamadache
-
Matthieu “Karim” Santal
Together, the formidable line-up boasts a combined legacy of French Ligue 1, Crossfire, and International Championship titles, with Skyzer also being awarded EVA MVP for 2025. It also marks G2’s first official mixed-gender roster, with women represented both on the player lineup and behind the scenes – an important milestone that builds on the organisation’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusivity. As a pioneer in the women’s competitive space, G2 has already set the standard with world-class, championship-winning rosters like G2 Gozen and G2 Hel. With G2 EVA, the organisation continues to lead from the front, breaking down barriers and pushing the industry toward a more inclusive, competitive future.
G2 EVA’s all-star roster will be managed by Chanelle “LaChanou”, a former player of the team and France’s first female EVA Champion, and coached by Karim “Ebi” Bennaceur, widely regarded as one of the best coaches in the scene who won as a coach in EVA Ligue 2, Ligue 1, the French Cup, and the Belgian Cup – he’s also an ex-futsal player. LaChanou and Ebi have been with the team since its debut alongside acclaimed Team Captain Skyzer. Physiotherapist Emma Brevost-Mallet and Community Manager “Pandatylr” will also be supporting the roster.
The inaugural season of the EVA Pro League 2026 starts on April 14th, with matches taking place every two weeks in Paris until October. G2 EVA will be competing for a €50,000 prize pool alongside 7 other teams in a Best-of-3, round-robin format. The top 4 teams will also qualify directly for the EVA Summit playoffs later in the year.
“EVA represents an exciting new frontier for esports, redefining how competition is played and experienced,” said Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2. “With the launch of G2 EVA, our first-ever mixed roster, we’re making a clear statement about the future we believe in. This is about pushing boundaries, both in how we compete and who gets to compete, as we continue building a next-generation sports club. This team embodies the spirit of G2 unequivocally – they’re here to create legendary moments that captivate our fans, energize our community, and inspire the next generation”
“Seeing how far we’ve come, building this team from scratch and joining one of the biggest esports teams, G2, is a dream come true and makes us very proud”, said Channelle “LaChanou”, Team Manager of G2 EVA.
G2 EVA represents the next phase in G2’s evolution into a storytelling powerhouse at the intersection of esports, sports, and culture. With over 30 million fans worldwide, the organisation’s reach now extends far beyond the screen, through key ventures including Gerard Piqué’s Kings League, a sell-out anime collection with Solo Leveling, its own webtoon Red Aura, and partnerships with fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren and Smiley.
