A while back, Samsung announced that it’s bringing the One UI 8.5 Beta to more devices, and it looks like the company is once again expanding the program to more smartphones under its Galaxy S and Galaxy Z foldables. Interestingly, the One UI 8.5 Beta will also be available for a handful of Galaxy A devices, a first for the line.
With that in mind, Samsung specifies that the beta program will arrive for the Galaxy S23 devices (including the S23 FE), Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, as well as the Galaxy A36 5G. The beta will be available in select regions which will include India, Korea, the United Kingdom, as well as the United States.
Most notably, the One UI 8.5 Beta will also feature AirDrop compatibility via Android’s Quick Share feature, which first arrived for Samsung devices via the Galaxy S26 series (following Google’s lead with the Pixel 9 and 10 phones). This will be available on the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.
Finally, Samsung says that the beta program will continue to arrive for more Galaxy devices later this month, and users who want to try it out can register via the Samsung Members app.
