KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 20th, 2026) Allegations of a paper leak have emerged during the ongoing intermediate examinations after reports suggested that the Inter Part-I Chemistry question paper was circulated prior to the commencement of the exam.
The reports said that individuals allegedly involved in cheating practices shared solved content of the paper through online messaging platforms shortly before the scheduled examination time, raising concerns over the security arrangements at examination centres.
The development has raised questions about the performance of the relevant education authorities, with criticism directed at their ability to prevent malpractice and maintain discipline during the examination process.
The English paper was conducted from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, while other subjects, including General Science, Economics, and Islamic Studies, were scheduled in subsequent sessions under the ongoing examination schedule.
Authorities have established a large number of examination centres across the region, with hundreds of thousands of students appearing in the annual board examinations this year, making the allegations more significant.
Despite enforcement of Section 144, reports of cheating activity were noted in some areas. Additionally, power outages at certain centres reportedly created further difficulties for students and examination staff.
Officials have not yet issued a detailed response regarding the alleged paper leak, while further review of the matter is expected.
