Raipur, Chhattisgarh – With the objective of ensuring systematic management of temples, preventing encroachments on temple lands, and transforming temples into effective centres for the propagation of Sanatan Dharma, a meeting of trustees, mahants, and priests of major temples in Chhattisgarh was recently held.

In this meeting, a decision was taken to establish the ‘Chhattisgarh Mandir Mahasangh’. On this occasion, all temple representatives present expressed their resolve to work in a united manner. The meeting, held on 14 April at the ‘Bimtara Sabhagrah’ in Shantinagar, also reviewed the ongoing work being carried out through temple federations across Chhattisgarh and the country.

More than 80 temple trustees, mahants, and priests from across Chhattisgarh were present at the meeting. On this occasion, Pujya Kanha Maharaj, Pandit Neelkanth Maharaj of Shri Neelkantheshwar Temple, Mahant Sharmaji of Narayan Temple, Mahant Arun Mishra, National Coordinator of the Mandir Mahasangh Shri. Sunil Ghanwat, Raipur District Coordinator Shri. Madan Mohan Upadhyay, Co-coordinator Shri. Pravesh Tiwari, legal advisor Advocate Ashish Sharma, and representatives of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti – Shri. Kamal Biswal and Shri. Hemant Kanaskar, along with several other dignitaries, were present.
