LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th Apr, 2026) The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a new feature in Emergency Helpline-15 aimed at strengthening the public safety system through improved transparency and swift police response.
According to a PSCA spokesperson on Monday, citizens using the Public Safety App to place Emergency-15 calls will now instantly receive details of the concerned police officer along with the estimated time of arrival. The nearest police officer will be immediately assigned to the case, ensuring prompt response and facilitation.
The spokesperson said that through this advanced feature, citizens would also be able to track the officer’s arrival in real time and provide immediate feedback regarding police behaviour and response, thereby promoting transparency and accountability within the system.
He further stated that the Public Safety App now enables a conference call facility between the caller and the police officer, allowing better coordination during emergency situations and ensuring timely and effective assistance.
The spokesperson added that under the chief minister’s vision, the use of modern technology is significantly improving police response time and making the public safety system more efficient and result-oriented.
