Daily flights to the UAE resume on April 23, with Damascus following on May 1.
Qatar Airways is resuming daily flight services to the United Arab Emirates and Syria as part of a phased restoration of its global network, the airline announced on Thursday.
Daily flights to Dubai and Sharjah will resume on April 23, 2026, while flights to Damascus will commence on May 1, 2026.
“These resumptions are part of a phased restoration of Qatar Airways’ global network, building on the airline’s mid-April announcement confirming the expansion of its flight schedule from 16 June 2026 to more than 150 destinations across six continents,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline noted that passengers with confirmed bookings with a travel date between February 28 and September 15, 2026 are eligible for complimentary date changes to a new date up to October 31, 2026.
This applies to bookings on flights operated by Qatar Airways, subject to availability and fare seasonality, or a refund of the unused ticket value. Those with flights impacted remain eligible for additional fee-free changes until October 31, 2026.
“Flight schedules are subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, safety, or other circumstances beyond our control,” Qatar Airways said.
“Qatar Airways advises passengers to regularly check its official website or app, and ensure their contact details are correct, and updated,” it added.
On April 20, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) announced the gradual resumption of foreign airlines’ operations to the country at Hamad International Airport (HIA), the first time since the U.S.-Israel war on Iran broke out on February 28.
“All flights and related operations will be carried out in accordance with the highest internationally recognised safety and security standards, with all necessary measures and precautions in place to safeguard passengers and aviation personnel,” QCAA said at the time.
