PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th Apr, 2026) Earthquake tremors were felt in multiple areas of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a recorded magnitude of 5.7.
According to the Seismological Center on Monday the earthquake occurred at a depth of 170 kilometers, with its epicenter located in the Afghanistan–Tajikistan region.
The tremors were experienced in several cities including Peshawar, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Abbottabad as well as surrounding areas.
Residents, alarmed by the sudden shaking, rushed out of their homes and offices. Despite the intensity of the tremors, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
