Mumbai – Shyam Manav of the Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti has stated that former Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai should not take the name of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar after visiting Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri Maharaj. In response, Sanatan Sanstha spokesperson Shri. Abhay Vartak questioned whether a similar statement would have been made if the Chief Justice had visited a church or dargah for prayers instead.

Shri. Vartak remarked that the reaction appears to stem solely from the fact that the former Chief Justice visited a Hindu Saint, thereby exposing a clear bias.

Shyam Manav has no real connection with the cause of eradicating superstition

Shri. Abhay Vartak further stated that Shyam Manav has no real connection with the cause of eradicating superstition. His track record reflects repeated criticism of Hindu Dharma. Earlier, he had made disrespectful remarks about Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj.

In Mumbai, posters of certain so-called ‘Bengali babas’ advertise abilities such as hypnosis and black magic, yet Shyam Manav does not challenge them.

In remote areas of Thane and Raigad, some pastors hold gatherings claiming to heal physical disabilities, but Shyam Manav remains silent on such activities.

You seem to act only against Hindus, which is why every Hindu saint appears to you as fraudulent. Such a one-sided approach raises concerns,” he added

Call for inquiry

Shri. Abhay Vartak further said that Shyam Manav continues to be a member of a government committee in Maharashtra; it should be investigated whether public funds allocated to that committee are being misused by Manav. He appealed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to look into the matter and take appropriate action.
