ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30th Apr, 2026) Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the incident in which the Afghan Taliban targeted civilian populations in the Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan, terming it an inhumane and unacceptable act.
Naqvi said that the collusion between the Afghan Taliban and the “fitna-e-khawarij” to target innocent women and children was an extremely barbaric and cruel act. He added that by attacking civilian areas, the Afghan Taliban had blatantly violated the Charter of Human Rights and trampled on globally accepted humanitarian principles.
“Targeting civilian populations is a grave breach of international humanitarian laws,” the interior minister stated, emphasizing that such attacks on innocent citizens can never be tolerated under any circumstances.
Naqvi further said that Pakistan’s security forces were giving a strong and fitting response to the Afghan Taliban’s unprovoked aggression.
He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured women and children affected by the incident.
