A modest opening has quickly turned into a reassuring early run for Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam). The devotional drama, led by Siddharth Gupta, found stronger footing over its first weekend and closed Day 4 with an India net total of Rs 7.32 crore, a sign that audience traction improved sharply after its initial start.

The film opened with Rs 42 lakh, then moved up to Rs 1.15 crore on Day 2. The real momentum came over the weekend, with Day 3 bringing in Rs 2.25 crore and Day 4 rising further to Rs 3.5 crore. That day wise climb gives the film a healthy four day cumulative total and suggests that word of mouth has started doing the heavy lifting.

Weekend Growth Gives The Film A Needed Push

For a film that arrived without major star power at the centre of its promotions, the weekend trend is the real story. A jump from under Rs 50 lakh on the opening day to Rs 3.5 crore by Day 4 reflects a significant rise in audience turnout, especially for a mythological title banking on devotional appeal more than conventional commercial hooks.

The Day 4 figure also pushed the film’s India gross to Rs 8.77 crore, based on available trade tracking data. While the opening itself was on the quieter side, the upward trajectory over the next three days has given Krishnavataram Part 1 a far more encouraging first weekend than its start had suggested.

What Krishnavataram Part 1 Is About

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) was released in theatres on May 7, 2026. The film stars Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti Jayana, Sushmitha Bhat and Nivaashiyni Krishnan, and is backed by Creativeland Studios Entertainment and Athashrikatha Motion Pictures, with AA Films handling distribution.

The devotional drama is based on the Brahma Vaivarta Purana and serves as the first chapter of a planned trilogy. Its narrative looks at Lord Krishna’s life after his separation from Radha, with the story unfolding largely through Satyabhama’s perspective. That emotional lens appears to have helped the film stand apart in a crowded release space, particularly among family audiences and viewers drawn to mythological storytelling.

At this stage, the box office story is less about a massive start and more about sustained growth. If the film can now hold steadily through the weekdays, its opening stretch will be seen as a decent launchpad for a title that began its run with limited pre release noise but managed to convert curiosity into footfalls over the weekend.
