Chennai – DMK leader and MLA, Udhayanidhi Stalin, has once again sparked outrage by raising his ‘anti-Sanatan’ agenda in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday. He doubled down on his controversial demand, stating that Sanatan Dharma must be eliminated.
Udhaynidhi Stalin’s remark, that Sanatana Dharma must be eradicated, has already been adjudged by courts as “hate speech and a clear attack on Hinduism carrying implications akin to genocide”.

Addressing the Assembly, he claimed, “Sanatan, which has divided people, must be eradicated.” Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay was notably present in the Assembly during this address.
It is worth noting that in September 2023, Udhayanidhi Stalin had brazenly stated at a public forum that Sanatan Dharma should not merely be opposed but should be eradicated like “dengue, malaria, and COVID-19.” These hateful remarks led to multiple criminal cases being registered against him across the country.
Editorial Perspective
- The shameful silence in the Hindu-majority Assembly as Udhayanidhi spewed these hateful remarks is a wake-up call for Hindus.
- It is now imperative for Hindus to unite and demand the immediate arrest of Udhayanidhi Stalin for his repeated hate speech against Sanatan Dharma.
