Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 series is likely to feature MediaTek‘s latest high-end chip, the Dimensity 9500, instead of a Snapdragon alternative, according to a new leak.

In a teardown of Samsung’s AI Core app, there were references to a chipset with the model number “MT6993” found inside the app’s files. That ID corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip that Samsung has yet to officially confirm for any of its devices. The leak suggests the Galaxy Tab S12 series will get this hardware .

The Dimensity 9500 is built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process. It features an octa-core CPU architecture and a high-performance C1-Ultra core running at 4.21 GHz.
