DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st Jul, 2025) In a major operation against drug trafficking and criminal elements, the Dera police have arrested eight outlaws and recovered a substantial quantity of narcotics and alcohol from them here in the limits of the Cantt police station.
Acting under the directives of District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, the operation was led by SDPO City Circle Muhammad Adnan and SHO Muhammad Sibtain, said a police spokesman on Monday.
The crackdown resulted in the seizure of 860 grams of heroin, 785 grams of Ice and two litres of liquor.
The arrested individuals included Hassan son of Aslam, Muhammad Ahsan son of Ashiq and Muhammad Asif son of Ghulam Akbar, Haji Muhammad Akbar son of Fazal Rehman.
In a parallel effort, police also apprehended three wanted suspects involved in serious criminal cases, including murder. Those arrested include Maqbool Ahmed of Muriali, Muhammad Ahmed Khan of Kirri Alizai and Usama Zubair of Gali Neem Wali.
The police also registered separate cases against the arrested accused.
The DPO appreciated the performance of Cantt police team and reaffirmed the district police’s resolve to continue targeted actions to curb crime and ensure public safety.
