According to the official blog post, the skins will be available until April 14th and will cost 2,150 Apex Coins (~$19.99/£15.59) each.
There will also be Gundam skins for some of the most popular weapons, including the Kraber, R-99, R-301, and more. Furthemore, two new Mythics will arrive with the event, including the Epyon Heat Rod and Beam Saber, which will be available in their own event packs.
The reward shop will also feature various event items to unlock, including an Epic Char Aznable-inspired Sparrow skin in addition to banners, trackers, stickers, and more.
In celebration of the collaboration, Gundam’s parent company BANDAI NAMCO will be releasing three limited-edition Gunpla model kits inspired by Crypto, Valkyrie and Alter. Pre-orders are available while supplies last until March 18th.
New Limited-Time Wildcard Game Mode

Limited-time changes are also coming to the in-game Wildcard mode, bringing a new look to the Broken Moon map.
Four new Wildcard perks will also be available in the mode:
- Epyon’s Lash: Adds a magnetic melee pull tactical ability.
- Heavyarms Salvo: Marks enemies for air support missile strikes after landing multiple hits.
- Zero Sacrifice: Allows players to trigger a self-destruct explosion when knocked, damaging nearby foes.
- Zero Rebirth: Enter the Void when knocked, then exit with one health point remaining.
The Buster Rifle, an iconic weapon in the Gundam franchise, can be acquired through care packages to gain flight for aerial recon, scan through walls to mark enemies, and fire a laser that pierces through cover.
Bit Staves will also have multiple functions, serving as shields to absorb damage or switching to Drone Command to scan and attack nearby enemies.
Gundam in Esports
While Apex Legends is welcoming Gundam for the first time, the Japanese sci-fi franchise has collaborated with various competitive esports titles in the past.
In 2025, the Gundam Wing show celebrated its 30th anniversary by collaborating with popular hero shooter Overwatch, bringing various Gundam-inspired skin bundles to its roster of characters.
Gundam has also collaborated with the shooter franchise Call of Duty on several occasions. In 2025, it revealed a limited-time event for Call of Duty: Mobile, and previously released limited-time skins for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 back in 2023.
