Earlier this year, ASUS announced the launch of the new Zenbook A16, a high-powered Windows laptop that runs on Qualcomm’s new ARM silicon. With that in mind, the A16 is finally available for buyers in the United States, priced starting at a rather hefty $1699.99; it’s also joined by several other Zenbook models including the Zenbook A14, Zenbook S16, Zenbook S14, and Zenbook 14.
That being said though, the A16 does come with a highly-impressive specs sheet, the main highlight of which is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme chip, which has proven to be a formidable processor even when compared to the likes of Apple’s M-series chips. This runs in tandem with 48GB of LPDDR5X RAM, making it ideal for both work and play.

The laptop also features a 70Wh lithium-polymer battery, which on paper can last for up to 21 hours of use on a single charge, although we’d wager that real-life usage will still make a significant difference.
In addition to this, you’re also getting a 16-inch display with an OLED touchscreen, which comes with a sharp 3K (2880 x 1800) resolution, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1100 nits of peak brightness. As far as laptop displays go, this is certainly one of the best ones that you can get on the market, especially considering the high price point.
In terms of design, the Zenbook A16 comes with what ASUS refers to as a “Ceraluminum” chassis, which manages to remain relatively lightweight at 1.2kg (2.87 lbs), despite being a large-enough machine. It’s available starting tomorrow via ASUS’ official store as well as partner retailers.
