Come, see, and conquer with the best Wuthering Waves Augusta build. Septimont’s Ephor has worked her way up the ladder of power the hard way and now puts her Electro DMG skills as well as her Broadblade under your command. Augusta is a powerful Main DPS with strong Heavy Attacks.

Her Forte Circuit allows her to obtain Ascendancy when her Normal Attacks deal damage or she uses her Intro Skill, Resonance Skill, and Resonance Liberation. When Ascendancy is full, new Resonance Skills become available that can be cast in quick succession and which deal Electro DMG counting as Heavy Attack DMG. Consuming Ascendancy by completing this chain grants Augusta one stack of Majesty, which she can also gain from one of her passives and Outro Skill.

Majesty can be consumed to cast an alternative Resonance Liberation, which stops time in the area of effect and disables Resonator-switching, but allows Augusta to make special attacks to deal Electro DMG counting as Heavy Attack DMG. At the same time, Augusta established the Ruler’s Realm for half a minute, granting a shield based on her Max HP to all allies casting an Intro Skill in this timeframe. 

A third resource, Prowess, is generated by any basic attack dealing damage and can be used to empower Augusta to chain together several Heavy Attacks in quick succession.

Her Outro Skill grants the incoming Resonator additional All Attribute DMG and provides buffs to Augusta herself. One of her passive skills generates a shield based on her Max HP for herself if she deals damage to an enemy target, which is not stackable. 

As such, Augusta is relatively simple to play: You hit the enemy to generate resources, allowing you to hit the enemy even harder, which in turn generates more resources to power even more devastating attacks.

Unsurprisingly, Augusta’s signature Broadblade, Thunderflare Dominion, is the best pick for her. Increasing her ATK and CRIT Rate, the weapon also boosts Heavy Attack DMG following Intro Skill or Resonance Skill use. Furthermore, gaining a shield allows Heavy Attack DMG to partially bypass enemy DEF for a time with the effect stacking up to five times. Since Augusta can easily create shields for herself while attacking, she can max this bonus out quickly.

Best Augusta weapons in Wuthering Waves:

Augusta greatly benefits from the Crown of Valor Sonata Effect, which grants a stackable bonus to ATK and CRIT DMG when the wearer gains a shield. As described above, this is easy to work with for Augusta. Complete things with Void Thunder for a bit of extra Electro DMG. The False Sovereign is a great Main Echo, providing both Electro DMG and Heavy Attack DMG.

Augusta is a classic Main DPS who likes to hog field time, giving her plenty of space to chain her combos and build up resources. Characters who buff Heavy Attack DMG are best-suited towards accompanying her.

Iuno, who’ll be released shortly after Augusta, is designed to complement her on the battlefield. Until she’s available, though, Mortefi is an excellent choice to escort Augusta due to his boosts to the team’s Heavy Attack DMG. Shorekeeper is, as always, a fantastic Support to provide the necessary healing to sustain the team on top of general buffs.

Yinlin is another good option as a Sub DPS, though she’s not as potent as Mortefi or Iuno in the position.

Once Augusta has joined your team, you’ll want to level her up as quickly as possible, for which you’ll require the following materials:

Tidal Residuum is a common material dropped by the Tacet Discords roaming Rinascita. Blighted Crown of Puppet King can only be obtained from challenging The False Sovereign. Luminous Calendula grows on Septimont’s Sanguis Plateau. The best source of Shell Credits is the Simulation Challenge you can tackle at the Training Grounds in large cities.
