As you near the end of your time in the Hilltop Layer in DK Bananza, you’ll find a treat of a challenge course in the form of Nostalgia Country, where you’ll get to play through a remake of the first level from Donkey Kong Country. However, it can be a tricky level, as it hides one of the more difficult-to-locate bananas in the early stages of the game.
We’ll walk you through this level, showing you the location of all the bananas you can find.
You find this level in the underground tunnel section of the Hilltop Layer. Right as you drop down, turn left, and the entrance to the level will be right there.
You’ll get the first banana halfway through the level, just past the section with the rock-carrying bugs and shifting walls. It’s on the main path, and there is no way to miss it.
The second Banana is found at the end of the level, once again, it is along the main path and impossible to miss.
This banana is hidden right at the start of the level. As you enter, you need to jump up and climb the terrain hanging just above the door, as shown in the image above. Climb up there and you’ll find a fun little easter egg – DK’s house from the original game. In the center of the room is a tyre you can bounce on to smash the banana hanging from the door.
