Farhan’s century powers Sultans to six-wicket win over Kingsmen

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 1st, 2026) Sahibzada Farhan produced a brilliant unbeaten century to guide Multan Sultans to a six-wicket victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the eighth match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

Chasing a challenging target of 226 runs, the Sultans reached the total with eight balls remaining, finishing at 226/4, thanks largely to Farhan’s commanding knock of 106 not out off 57 deliveries, which included eight sixes and seven fours.

He was well supported by Steve Smith, who scored 46, and Shan Masood with 29, before Arafat Minhas added a quick unbeaten 26 off 11 balls, helping maintain the momentum in the run chase.

For the Kingsmen, Saim Ayub claimed two wickets for 43 runs, while Maheesh Theekshana and Hassan Khan picked up one wicket each.

Earlier, Kingsmen posted a strong total of 225/5 after opting to bat first. Their innings was built on a solid start from Saim Ayub and Maaz, who put on 59 runs for the opening wicket. Maaz went on to score 62 off 26 balls, hitting five sixes and five fours, making him the top scorer for his side.

Sharjeel Khan anchored the latter stages with an unbeaten 51 off 26 deliveries, while useful contributions from Syed Saad Ali and Muhammad Irfan Khan added 23 and 22 not out respectively to push the total close to the 230 mark.

Mohammad Wasim Jr was the standout bowler for the Sultans, taking two wickets for 37 runs, while Mohammad Nawaz, Peter Siddle and captain Ashton Turner chipped in with one wicket each.
