ONi Global FGC pro player ‘bleed‘ has been crowned 2XKO’s first-ever major champion, winning the game’s Frosty Faustings XVIII festival tournament.

The American player made history in Riot Games’ tag-team fighting game after defeating Evil Geniuses’ Steve ‘Supernoon‘ Carbajal in the Grand Finals.

For his efforts, bleed has secured the lion’s share of the tournament’s $50,000 prize pool, a cash sum that was boosted by 2XKO becoming an official partner of the event. The player, battled his way through 874 participants to be crowned champion.

bleed’s journey in the 2XKO tournament was filled with surprise victories and close calls. The player defeated two-time Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour runner-up Mael ‘WADE‘ Jomie in the Round 2 Pools to reach the Bracket Stage. Bleed then defeated TSM’s two-time Evo champion and Super Smash Bros icon William ‘Leffen‘ Hjelte, surviving to the Finals Brackets.

While some of the FGC’s all-time greats, including M80’s Jo’siah ‘Hikari‘ Miller and FlyQuest’s Dominique ‘SonicFox‘ McLean, saw surprising eliminations in the Lower Brackets, bleed dominated in the Upper brackets.

He defeated Paragon’s Atir ‘Zando‘ Yosef 2-1 in the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals, and followed up with a decisive victory against Supernoon, qualifying for the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals ended with a rematch against bleed and Supernoon. Supernoon claimed the first game after winning 3-2, and per the rules of the tournament, a second game was played to decide the champion of Frosty Faustings XVIII. In the end, bleed came out on top after winning 3-1.

2XKO Esports in 2026

Frosty Faustings XVII kickstarts 2XKO’s esports roadmap as the first major in the Competitive Series 2026, which has experienced changes since the initial announcement.

Following the conclusion of the FGC festival, the next three majors in the calendar include Evo Japan from May 1st to 3rd, Evo 2026 in Las Vegas, US, from June 26th to 28th and Evo France from October 9th to 11th.

The circuit concludes with Battle Coliseum, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from November 20th to 22nd, 2026.

15 Challenger events are also planned for 2026, taking place between majors. These include events such as Genesis X3 in California, Texas Showdown, and other FGC tournaments across the globe.
