You can now get a flagship tablet experience like a large screen and speedy perfromance without spending over a grand. OnePlus’ latest Pad 3 tablet is back to its second-best price, saving you a chunky $100.
OnePlus is one of the few brands that offer flagship tablets at a palatable price. Now, it has also joined the spring sale by discounting the latest Pad 3. The slab is back to $599, which translates to a $100 (14%) discount. This is the second-best price we’ve seen, just $20 shy of its record low.
The deal is available in the Storm Blue finish for the Wi-Fi-only model. Notably, it comes with a larger base memory of 256 GB compared to competitors like the Galaxy Tab S11.
Why Buy the OnePlus Pad 3
The OnePlus Pad 3 was launched in July last year and arrived in the US shortly after. It easily tops the budget-flagship tablet category, a space mainly dominated by Samsung and Apple.
To achieve this lower price point, OnePlus dropped some premium features while keeping the Pad 3 a highly competitive machine. The device is built on an aluminum chassis, which is incredibly thin at 0.24-inch and lightweight at 1.49 lb. for its size. More impressively, it features eight powerful stereo speakers positioned on the sides.
It is also one of the larger options on the market, sporting a 13.2-inch IPS LCD screen. While it is not AMOLED or mini-LED, it boasts an impressive 144 Hz refresh rate and 900 nits of brightness. This expansive screen real estate makes it a suitable laptop alternative when paired with a keyboard and mouse. It is also compatible with the new Stylo 2 pen, though you will need to purchase that separately.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite SoC, making it one of the first tablets to run on this powerful Qualcomm platform. Raw performance is in line with the current pricier Android tablets. The slab can run multiple apps or side-by-side windows without slowing down. It is more than capable of handling AAA games as well while the overall hardware gives your future-proofing that matches the extended software support.
The OnePlus Pad 3 features a massive 12,140 mAh battery, which should provide a whole day of use under a normal load or several days with mixed usage and standby. Despite the large capacity, charging is quick thanks to the 80 watts wired charging speed.
