Fortnite Chapter 7: Everything we know and all the speculation

News has started to leak about Fortnite Chapter 7, with the community doing its best Sherlock Holmes impression to decipher cryptic clues given to content creators. It has taken some detective work, but the community has made some commonly accepted theories based on what’s been revealed thus far before arriving at Fortnite wrapped at the end of the year.

This news comes after the introduction of The Simpsons Fortnite, filling in as a mini chapter between Chapter 6 and 7. It’s a massive IP to fill in between seasons, and the hope is that something even bigger is coming for the new season. Based on Fortnite leaks, we can expect Chapter 7 to release on November 29.

With that said, let’s take a look and decipher the teasers for the new Fortnite season thus far.

The top Fortnite creator, NickEh30, has revealed a teaser sent to him by Fortnite on X. It’s a short, 19-second video that’s rather cryptic, but there’s a lot of information packed into not a lot of words.

The most overt is the date of day one early access, which is set for November 19. We were expecting Chapter 7 for late November, so the dates check out, but we have also been given coordinates for a ‘Signal Origin’, the phrase ‘Fortnite after dark’ and Q&A getting replaced by Q&U. While this initially seemed like some gibberish, keen-eyed fans have deciphered the message.

The coordinates for the Signal Origin (34.134117 N, 118.321495 W) point to Los Angeles, more specifically Hollywood. This implies that there could be an American-themed map for Fortnite Chapter 7, with skins and iconography from the best US films. This is backed by the Q&U phrase and Fortnite after dark phrases.

Pointed out by Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR on X, Q&U is what Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman credited themselves as in Kill Bill. With the Kill Bill Vol.1 and Vol.2 re-releases (called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair) coming on December 5, The Bride being added for Fortnite Chapter 7 seems a good fit, considering its late-November release date. 

Tarantino himself is a symbol of Hollywood, so the aforementioned coordinates could just be hinting at Kill Bill Fortnite skins and weapons, although there is a chance of Tarantino-inspired map elements too. Fortnite after dark could imply a more mature element to this season, too, given that Tarantino is known as a lover of gore and less of a lover of clean up.

According to another leaker on X, SamLeakss, Hollywood isn’t the only one getting involved for Fortnite Chapter 7. With Chapter 7 looking at a likely November 29 release date, it isn’t known when each of these leaked collaborations will come in the chapter, but they are as follows:

If Fortnite wasn’t already considered the Avengers of pop culture, this chapter will surely consolidate that status. Back to the Future makes sense to carry on the Hollywood theme, and while Harry Potter is the most controversial on the list, its status as a Christmas film series in the UK makes its addition to Fortnite Chapter 7 timely.

Another leaker and popular dataminer, X0XLEAK, revealed that Chapter 7 will have an Arena 51 and Casino POI, with the map having a partial Nevada theme. It doesn’t seem like we’ll get anything as odd as the Skibidi Toilet Fortnite launch, but that’s probably for the best.

The Fortnite Simpsons mini-chapter is tough to follow, given the size of that IP, but a Hollywood-theme Chapter with Kill Bill and The Bride as the flagship could be just what’s needed to go up a level. With Fortnite having already worked with Disney IPs, like Star Wars, Marvel, and The Simpsons, perhaps Indiana Jones could come back for the Fortnite battle pass or be available in the store. Pair this with all the other leaked collabs with massive IPs, like Harry Potter and SpongeBob, and Fortnite Chapter 7 could be one of the biggest yet. Fortnite itself is becoming a hive of pop culture collaboration, and it feels like there’s no limit to who can turn up next.
