Ginny & Georgia season 3 was another explosive, entertaining season, but one of the more surprising events this season actually involved an underrated character finally getting a redemption arc. Following Ginny & Georgia‘s season 2 ending, season 3 picked up with Georgia being put on house arrest after having been arrested for Tom’s murder, and her family dealing with the fallout of her actions. Ginny & Georgia‘s characters spend the majority of the season working to ensure Georgia goes free, but there are plenty of other big developments as well.
Thanks to her mother’s arrest, Ginny faces more turmoil than ever, and this is compounded by her complicated feelings for Marcus and Wolfe. Likewise, her friendship with Max was frustratingly strained. By Ginny & Georgia‘s season 3 ending, the characters’ lives faced more upheaval than ever, but there was one character in Ginny & Georgia season 3 who became more likable than in previous seasons and could be a source of good going into season 4 if the series continues their arc.
Lynette Miller’s Unexpected Redemption Story Was A Highlight Of Ginny & Georgia Season 3
Ginny’s Grandmother Finally Gets A More Positive Story In Season 3
Many of the relationships between the characters in Ginny & Georgia can be quite complex and fluctuate from episode to episode, but Lynette Miller is one character that many audiences have disliked throughout her appearances in seasons 1 and 2. Zion’s mother and Ginny’s grandmother were never a fan favorite thanks to her contentious relationship with Georgia and opinions about how Ginny should have been raised, but I was glad to see that Ginny & Georgia began to change that a bit in season 3.
Lynette appears a few times in the flashback scenes in season 1, but arguably her most notorious appearance was in the Christmas dinner scene in season 2. At the dinner, Georgia and Lynette both revisit Georgia’s decision not to give guardianship of Ginny to Lynette and Corbin, even though their money and age would have potentially made Ginny’s life easier. The scene is made even more difficult by the fact that Ginny herself is present and wants to defend her mom from her grandmother.
It completely makes sense that Lynette and Georgia have had a difficult relationship, especially because audiences know how much Georgia has gone through in the past just to survive and take care of her children.
This argument is the primary reason that audiences are given for the rift between Lynette and Georgia, and its complexities create a fascinating character and dynamic with Georgia. Admittedly, I do not think that Lynette is a bad person for wanting to provide for Ginny, but her approach to Georgia is what scared her off in the first place and led to everything that has happened throughout the series. As a result, it has been easy to dislike Lynette, but I think it is good that the two characters have finally gotten on the same page.
Ginny & Georgia Season 4 Needs More Of Lynette After She Bonded With Georgia
Their Relationship Should Continue To Improve
It completely makes sense that Lynette and Georgia have had a difficult relationship, especially because audiences know how much Georgia has gone through in the past just to survive and take care of her children. Lynette suggesting that Georgia should have made a different decision for Ginny did feel pretty bold of her to say, but, at the same time, both women have Ginny’s best interests at heart in their own way. Georgia may not like it, and Lynette may not have gone about things in the best way, but ultimately, they are family.

Who Is The Father Of [SPOILER]’s Baby In Ginny & Georgia Season 3?
Ginny & Georgia season 3 ends on a huge cliffhanger, revealing that a key character is pregnant – but who is the father of this person’s baby?
Ginny & Georgia season 3 truly showed that Lynette was not trying to hurt Georgia but help Ginny and Austin, and that worked on multiple levels. With everything that happened surrounding Georgia’s arrest and trial, it makes complete sense that Lynette would want Georgia to approach her children’s safety and future in a responsible way. On this really basic level, she is attempting to be a good grandparent and provide support at a time when Georgia actually giving support is incredibly difficult.
On an even more emotional level, Lynette and Georgia are finally able to hug and have an understanding in season 3 because they are both simply trying to make the best of a terrible situation and care for their loved ones. Georgia’s past makes it hard for her to trust anyone, but their resolution allows her to, at least partially, know she can trust Lynette. Even if their approaches differ, their hearts are in the right place when it comes to Ginny and Austin’s futures, and I hope that they can continue to see that in Ginny & Georgia season 4.
