LONG ISLAND is a rising indie-pop band from Huddersfield, UK. Formed by a group of music students, the band is a dynamic quartet consisting of Rhiannon Stephenson (lead vocals), Cameron Conner (backing vocals, guitar, and production), Paddy Spence-Lewis (bass), and Jan van Beem (drums).
Their sound is a satisfying blend of bright indie production, punchy pop guitars, and hook-laden, heartfelt lyrics. They draw from a wide range of influences, including PVRIS and Fickle Friends, creating a sound that is custom-made for an array of emotions and situations. LONG ISLAND has been championed by BBC Introducing, Radio X, and Manchester XS, and has built a dedicated fanbase around the North of England with packed-out headline shows and festival slots. Their debut album, infatuation’s a nightmare, was released in January 2023, followed by the EP the freedom of being young in September 2024.
