ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th Apr, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police finalized comprehensive security and traffic arrangements for the Christian community’s festival of Easter, deploying more than 2,000 officers across the Federal capital.
An official told APP on Sunday that traffic police personnel had been deployed to ensure smooth flow of traffic around churches and key routes during the festivities.
He said all patrolling units and special squads were actively performing duties in different areas to maintain security.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said strict security measures had been put in place, adding that entry into churches would only be allowed after complete body search.
He directed officers to remain on high alert, keep a close watch on surroundings and suspicious individuals, and ensure a secure environment.
Qazi emphasized that personnel should deal with worshippers in a polite and respectful manner.
He said all available resources would be utilized to ensure protection of minority rights and maintain law and order during the occasion.
