Why it is trending: Master Peace’s “My Guitar” is surging following the release of its high-energy video and the momentum behind his Stupid Kids EP, with major playlist support, national radio airplay, and a growing reputation as one of the UK’s most fearless new-generation rock voices.
Master Peace has unveiled the video for “My Guitar,” the focus track from his brand-new EP Stupid Kids, out now via Big Family Music. The South East London artist sharpens his signature fusion of raucous indie, punk spirit, and lyrical candour across the six-track project, produced by Dan Carey and Julian Bunetta. Featuring tracks like “There’s No More Underground,” “Spin The Block,” “Good Times,” and “Fuck It Up” (ft. Declan McKenna), the EP has already landed on major Spotify playlists including New Music Friday (UK & US), alongside airplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, and Apple Music 1. Following his 2024 debut album How To Make A Master Peace — which earned him an Ivor Novello Awards Rising Star Award — he has since toured across North America and the UK/EU, supporting acts like Franz Ferdinand, Bastille, and Duckwrth.
“My Guitar” arrives as a punchy, electroclash-tinged indie anthem, pairing distorted, crashing guitars with sharp social commentary and restless, indie-sleaze energy. The video mirrors that chaos — raw, kinetic, and unapologetically bold — amplifying the defiant spirit that runs through Stupid Kids. At its core, the EP reflects Peace’s journey navigating undiagnosed autism and ADHD, reclaiming the label of “stupid kid” as a badge of resilience and rebellion. Through both his music and his Peace Of Mind Instagram series — as well as fundraising for Nordoff and Robbins at his sold-out Peace McKenna event — Master Peace continues to turn vulnerability into power. With “My Guitar,” he doesn’t just make noise — he makes a statement.
