In a blog post, Reed Baird, Senior Producer as XDEV, PlayStation Studios, announced that the game will be hosting its ‘first playable experience’ in person since it was announced at the State of Play broadcast on June 4th, 2025.
Attendees will be able to assemble teams of four with the game’s six featured characters, including familiar faces from the Marvel franchise such as Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Star Lord, Storm and Doctor Doom. In addition, players who try out the game can also receive a collectible pin based on the game.
The blog post also shared details surrounding the Developer Combat Panel, taking place on Friday August 1st at 8:00 PM PT at the Evo Showcase Stage. In this event, attendees will have the chance to meet Arc System Works and Marvel Games developers as they answer questions regarding everything to know about Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
The panel will also be broadcast live on YouTube for those who cannot attend in person through the official Evo Events channel.
In the blog post, Kazuto ‘Pachi’ Sekine, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Game Director, said: “The game is still under development, but we’re really looking forward to sharing more in our Evo panel, and especially for fans to try it out for themselves with the very first trial version at the event.
“My hope is to ‘Assemble’ with all of the players and create an amazing game together. We’re trying out many new things to offer a fresh experience. I can’t wait to hear your feedback and thoughts.”
