“I think I can do it better myself. I can earn more, too. I am going to resign and go all-in to build my business.”
As much as I would like to be encouraging, I cringed.
I have heard this rodeo many times. Too many. But don’t get me wrong. I am not against entrepreneurship.
I am against naivety.
My cousin is 26. His name is Timothy. Let’s call him Tim. He graduated from civil engineering school 2 years ago. He works as an operational analyst in a real estate conglomerate.
He has no people management experience. He has never hustled to make additional money.
Yet, there he is, chiming away… thinking that he knows better.
I hate to give him the Boomer treatment… but he deserves one.
