I hope you don’t

Shawn is a firm believer in our outsourcing business. Me too.
But beyond that, our opinions diverge. Shawn puts time and effort into our product development and client service metrics.
Me? Simple. I only focus on one thing. Hunting for sales. The pauper in me comes alive at work. My mantra is simple.
No money, no honey.
This is where we clash. Shawn believes that clients will roll in non-stop after he perfects our accounts payable process for outsourcing clients.
“Show them this flow. This is version 19. I have incorporated checks and balances. See that? This is where our CPA’s supervision and assurance come in. And this box? Managerial oversight. Clients will love us. You don’t have to sell that hard anymore.”
I laughed.
Shawn is Shawn. I won’t bother changing who he is.
And that is also the reason I am constantly frustrated with his business assumptions. Honestly, no.
Build and they will come is not a business mantra.
It is a great marketing tagline.
