OG Esports replaces TYLOO at BLAST Bounty Season 2

BLAST has announced OG Esports will replace TYLOO at the upcoming BLAST Bounty Season 2 event.

The European esports organisation will be one of 32 teams participating in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, which begins on August 5th, 2025.

The Chinese esports organisation hasn’t shared why it won’t compete at the event. However, TYLOO has been competing in Europe in recent weeks, taking victory at FISSURE Playground 1.

Following the team’s victory in Serbia, TYLOO travelled to Germany along with 23 other CS2 teams to compete at Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne, the first Tier 1 event following the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

OG Esports has been chosen as TYLOO’s replacement thanks to its position in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). As the next highest-ranked team, it will aim to build on a solid Austin Major performance with a strong showing at Bounty Season 2.

Bounty Season 2 will be the third tournament OG will compete in, after making a post-Major roster change. July saw Christian ‘Buzz’ Andersen move to the inactive roster, while Adam ‘adamb’ Ångström joined the starting lineup.

BLAST’s second season of Bounty is split into online and LAN portions, with 32 teams competing online to secure one of eight places at the LAN final, taking place in Malta.

Malta will play host to several CS2 and Dota 2 events operated by the event organiser. In June, BLAST unveiled a three-year deal with GamingMalta to host events on the island until the end of 2027.

Ahead of Bounty Season 2, BLAST revealed changes to the seeding and wagering format to encourage teams to stake higher amounts of money. The banked bounty forms the $500,000 (~£368,864) prize money that OG Esports and the 31 other teams will be competing for.
