If you’ve ever looked at your iPhone and thought the bezels could be a little thinner, OnePlus might have something to say about that. OnePlus China President Li Jie took to Weibo to share the first real-life look at the OnePlus 15T bezels. To make its point, the company put it right next to what looks like the iPhone 17 Pro.

The comparison image shows the OnePlus 15T on the left and what appears to be the iPhone 17 Pro on the right. The 15T’s bezels are visibly slimmer. According to Li Jie, the OnePlus 15T bezels measure in at 1.xx mm on all four sides. He kept the exact number close to his chest, but we get the idea. The iPhone 17 Pro sits at 1.44mm, so the 15T should come in under that. Li Jie added that the 15T could have the narrowest bezels of any compact phone on the market.
How OnePlus pulled it off
Getting bezels this thin on a compact phone isn’t just a software trick. According to Li Jie, OnePlus built its own screen production line and developed a new chip-level packaging process alongside several other in-house display technologies to make it happen. It’s a notable engineering achievement, especially on a smaller form factor where space is already tight.
The OnePlus 15T is shaping up to be a compelling follow-up to the OnePlus 13T. The 13T made a name for itself as a compact phone that didn’t cut too many corners. The 15T is expected to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 7,500mAh battery, and a LUMO periscope telephoto camera, all packed into an 8.5mm frame.
If the OnePlus 15T bezels deliver on what this teaser shows, the screen-to-body ratio should look impressive in person. For anyone curious where OnePlus goes from here, early leaks on the OnePlus 16 suggest the company is chasing sub-1mm bezels next. The 15T launch in China is expected sometime this month.
