Pokémon Friends released for mobile devices

The Pokémon Company has released a new free-to-play Pokémon game for iOS and Android ahead of today’s Pokémon Presents. Pokémon Friends is a puzzle game featuring more than 1,200 challenges to solve. Puzzles will range in difficulty, but are generally meant to be doable for everyone.

Completing puzzles unlocks yarn, which you can use to knit some plush Pokémon buddies for yourself. Plushies can be showcased in a customizable room, which can be decorated with a variety of furniture and wallpapers.

Players can make up to five saves per account, sharing a device with friends or family.

Pokémon Friends joins an already extensive line-up of mobile titles, including Pokémon GO, UNITE, Masters EX, Café, and TCG Pocket.

Pokémon Friends is also available for Nintendo Switch, though it costs $9.99 USD on the console and only contains a basic package of challenges, the rest having to be purchased separately.
