Location: Bengaluru
Company: Silicon Patterns
You’ll validate complex SoC platforms from first power-on through production readiness — working hands-on with prototypes, silicon boards, firmware, and architecture teams.
This is a role for engineers who love breaking systems, finding root causes, and turning first silicon into production-ready hardware.
What You’ll Do
- Bring up and validate first silicon SoCs on prototype boards and hardware platforms
- Execute post-silicon validation aligned to SoC architectural intent and specs
- Debug complex system issues across hardware, firmware, drivers, and architecture layers
- Validate CPU subsystems, memory, interconnects, and key peripherals
- Correlate pre-silicon results (simulation/emulation) with real silicon behavior
- Use JTAG, trace tools, protocol/logic analyzers, and low-level debug techniques
- Identify silicon issues, drive root cause, propose fixes/workarounds, and close gaps fast
- Work tightly with SoC architects, design, DV, and firmware teams to improve next revisions
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of hands-on Post Silicon Validation experience
- Strong understanding of SoC architecture (CPU, memory hierarchy, interconnect, peripherals)
- Experience with prototyping platforms — FPGA prototypes, EVBs, silicon bring-up boards
- Strong low-level debug skills across hardware & software boundaries
- Comfort working close to hardware: firmware, boot flow, drivers, system bring-up
- Ability to break complex systems and methodically root-cause failures
Good to Have
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, etc.)
- Performance, power, or stress validation exposure
- Python/scripting for automation & debug
- Experience on large-scale or AI/networking/data-center SoCs
