Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Power Supply Testing Engineer at Rug-Rel Components & Systems Pvt. Ltd. The Power Supply Testing Engineer will be responsible for conducting test engineering, test execution, creating test cases, and performing functional testing of power supply systems.

  • Interface with test technicians, assembly personnel, engineers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Test and debug both prototype and production power supply assemblies. Verification testing of completed products is essential.
  • Work on part selection, schematic drafting, and support for PCB design. This includes designing DC/DC and AC/DC high-reliability power supplies ranging from 50W to 5000W output.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in ECE/EEE or a related engineering discipline, with a focus on or experience in power electronics.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of design and testing experience in the power electronics/power supply domain.
  • Working knowledge of power electronics, especially power supplies.
  • Experience in testing hardware sub-assemblies and final products.
  • Ability to understand hardware design.
  • Work with firmware/hardware engineers to determine functionality protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in distilling data to generate test reports and presentations.
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience of circuit and board failures.
  • Experience in functional testing.
  • Basic understanding of EMI/EMC and testing knowledge.
