The Gothic remake will be released in summer 2026. Pre-orders have now started on Steam and Co. and we now also know the price of the new edition.

The release date for theGothic Remakewas first announced in February: The new edition of the role-playing legend will be released on June 5, 2026, and the game is also now available for pre-order. Although we generally advise you not to buy a game before its release, the pre-sale launch also provides important information: namely how much the Gothic Remake actually costs.

How much does the Gothic Remake cost?

On the PC, you will pay 50 euros for the new edition of Gothic, which is slightly less than for a full-price game, which usually costs 70 euros these days. Console gamers will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets On the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the Gothic Remake costs 60 euros. As a small bonus, the original version of Gothic is also included free of charge.

There are apparently no pre-order bonuses in the form of in-game content for the Gothic Remake. Those who pre-order on Steam will only receive the official soundtrack, while the physical version in the THQ Nordic store comes with a steelbook for PC pre-orderers. The publisher also offers a 200 euro collector’s edition with some goodies. However, there are no different digital versions of the Gothic remake.

Along with the price, the official system requirements of the Gothic remake have also been announced. These are mostly moderate, with the exception of the recommended 32 gigabytes of RAM. There is also no more detailed information on graphics settings and resolution:

Read more about the system requirements in the above article by our tech colleagues. Peter, on the other hand, explains why he is worried about the release date of the Gothic remake. After all, it has been postponed several times and is now right in the summer slump. But Peter is also convinced: Gothic had no other choice at the time of its release if it didn’t want to compete with giants.
