Quest Software today announced the Quest Trusted Data Management Platform, unifying data modeling, data cataloging, data governance, data quality, and a data marketplace to enable organizations to deliver AI-ready data throughout their business.
It can be leveraged to create a single, unified data product that will be usable by different departments throughout the organization as needed.
“Building trusted AI-ready data and reusable data products can take up to six months, but your business can’t afford to wait, so teams skip the metadata, bypass governance workflows, and ignore data quality, and every department ends up with their own version of a data product. That results in fragmented, siloed data that isn’t trustworthy,” Quest Software explained in a video.
The new platform attempts to prevent that from happening, and provides up to 54% faster time to data product delivery, up to 40% cost savings, and improves reusability by up to 50%.
One of the key capabilities of the platform is the Automated Data Product Factory, which uses generative AI to create data products from natural language prompts, reducing data product design cycles, lowering delivery costs, and enabling business users to create their own data products.
The Trusted Data Management Platform also provides an ongoing trust scoring system based on a nine-component system that combines data quality, user ratings, governance completeness, timeliness, lifecycle, popularity, and more.
“The scores are customizable and embedded directly into the platform, giving organizations confidence to act on data without second-guessing. With data drift detection that continuously detects any underlying data changes with automatic trust score updates, organizations can operate with confidence.” the company wrote in an announcement.
