DISPLAY VISIONS has introduced a series of touchscreen displays under its EA HMI range for use with a wide range of programmable logic controllers PLCs. The displays are designed for immediate deployment and are positioned as a cost effective HMI solution. They support multiple communication options including RS 232 UART, RS 485, LAN and WLAN, allowing flexible integration into different automation environments.
A key feature of the series is its broad PLC compatibility. The displays work with leading brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi Electric, Beckhoff Automation, Rockwell Automation and Panasonic, among others. This makes them suitable for both new installations and retrofit projects.
The EA HMI units provide high resolution, high contrast displays with a 170 degree viewing angle. Brightness can be adjusted to match application requirements. Screen design and configuration are handled using the free WYSIWYG HMI Designer software. With its drag and drop interface, users can create application specific screen layouts without complex programming. For customers who require additional support, DISPLAY VISIONS also offers a programming service.
On the communication side, data exchange via RS 232 takes place directly through the integrated UART with a true signal level of plus minus 12 volts. This setup also enables remote access. The baud rate can be configured from 9600 up to 921000, depending on system requirements. The displays are capable of storing complex screen pages while transmitting current process data with minimal bandwidth usage.
The product range includes five screen sizes ranging from 2.8 inch and 4.3 inch to 7 inch and up to 12.1 inch. Installation options include front panel mounting, door integration and wall mounting, providing flexibility for different control cabinet designs.
