Music composer duo Sachin Jigar have sparked fresh excitement around King, confirming that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a musical space unlike anything he has attempted before. The film, which has been in production since mid-2025 and remains one of the most anticipated upcoming Indian releases, is steadily building momentum through such creative reveals.
During a recent public interaction, the composers spoke about their experience on the film and hinted at a significant musical reinvention for the superstar.

Speaking about King, the duo said, “For all the SRK fans, I can promise you one thing, you are going to see SRK sir lip sync something he has never done. There are some songs, this is a certain vibe he has never done before, bada revolutionized hone wala hai unka look.”
Their comment implicitly contrasts Khan’s upcoming work with his iconic past song moments such as “Gerua” from Dilwale and “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” from Pathaan, both of which leaned into his established romantic and swagger-laden musical persona. Those tracks have become staples of his public image, but King appears to be pushing him toward a fresh stylistic zone.
While specific song details from King have not been released yet, the promise of a new visual and musical identity only deepens anticipation among audiences familiar with Khan’s chart-topping hits.
Latest King Production Updates
King began principal photography in May 2025, with shooting taking place in Mumbai and Warsaw, Poland. The action thriller is directed by Siddharth Anand and marks his second collaboration with Khan after their global hit Pathaan.
The star cast includes Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, Suhana Khan in her feature film debut, Abhay Verma, Deepika Padukone in a cameo, Abhishek Bachchan and Anil Kapoor, among others, as part of a sizeable ensemble.
Despite teasers and the first look poster unveiling Shah Rukh Khan’s gritty salt-and-pepper look in November 2025 on his 60th birthday, there has been no full trailer released yet. However, the official announcement confirmed that King is scheduled for a 24 December 2026 theatrical release, set to coincide with the Christmas season in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The soundtrack for the film is composed by Sachin Jigar, with the background score by Anirudh Ravichander, underscoring the film’s muscular and atmospheric tone.
